I am an educator and tutor with more than 20 years of experience working with students in Marin County and the San Francisco Bay Area. My background combines teaching, languages and literature, academic coaching, and mechanical arts.
I studied Comparative Literature at UCLA, with an emphasis in Spanish literature and a minor in Italian literature, and have continued graduate study in Comparative Literature at San Francisco State University. My academic interests include languages, literature, history, and the connections among different cultures and traditions.
My teaching experience includes Spanish, Modern Greek, English language learning, academic coaching, and individual tutoring across a range of subjects. I have worked with students from elementary school through college and with adult learners.
I established The Fat Tire Trading Post in 1986 and continue to buy, sell, research, repair, and preserve vintage bicycles and components. My interest in the mechanical arts also includes machining and other hands-on mechanical work.
